Volunteer Service Awards 2016

This prestigious annual event took place on 7th October 2016 to recognise the length of service (totalling 105 years) that twelve volunteers have given to community health services in Wiltshire (including Chippenham, Devizes, Melksham, Trowbridge and Warminster Hospitals). In attendance, as well as the volunteers receiving recognition, were Douglas Blair (Managing Director, Wiltshire Health and Care), Hanna Mansell (HR Business Partner) and Suzanne Bennett (Voluntary Services Coordinator).

Volunteer AwardsSuzanne Bennett commented, “I am always amazed by the kindness and commitment of volunteers who selflessly dedicate their free time for the benefit of our patients and staff.  Volunteering is not just about giving young people the opportunity to experience hospital life to fulfil their careers aspirations, but for those who are seeking confidence and a ‘hand up’ to return to employment and for others wanting to do something useful and to give something back to the NHS.”

If you are interested in joining our team of volunteers, please contact Suzanne for further information on 01985 220779.
