What is the service and what does it offer?
The Tissue Viability service is nurse-led. The team works in partnership with patients, their carers and healthcare professionals to provide expert wound care advice, specialist healthcare equipment and education that is aimed at preventing skin breakdown and promoting wound healing.
Our nurses can assess you in a number of different locations such as your home, at a care home, clinic, GP surgery, community inpatient unit, prison or hospice. we may also offer telephone advice.
