PPE unsuitable for clinical use, available for charities or organisations
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wiltshire Health and Care has been receiving Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) from the national supply system. Unfortunately, some of this has been classed as not fit for clinical use, but rather than send these to landfill, we have been given permission by the Department of Health and Social Care to donate these items to charities and local enterprises.
The items we have available include hand hygiene products (non-alcohol hand sanitisers and 500ml bottles of hand soaps), aprons, out of date gloves and masks, safety goggles and, visors.
Organisations who have benefited from these PPE items previously include:
- Food banks
- Hygiene banks
- Homeless shelters
- Domestic violence refuges
- Scouts and guides
- Animal shelters
If you know of any organisations or charities who would benefit from these items, please email Charlene Robson, Infrastructure Officer at charlene.robson1@nhs.net for further information.
