Meet out new Medical Advisor
Dr. Chris Dyer is our new Medical Advisor, providing medical leadership and enhancing our clinical governance. This new role will provide advice and support to WHC on medical matters.
Chris said: “I’ve been a Consultant Geriatrician at the RUH and in the Wiltshire area for 20 years. I work with several community teams and General Practices in West Wiltshire, as well as reviewing inpatients at Warminster and Savernake hospitals and a clinic at Chippenham hospital. So I feel I know the area very well.
“I am really pleased to work with WHC. I will be involved with the recruitment of doctors and support their development and ongoing appraisal.
“I intend to establish a weekly educational session for doctors/clinical practitioners. Over the next few years I would expect to see closer working with GPs and the emerging Primary Care Networks and I hope to be involved in the development of the community services that support them.”
