To maintain social distancing we are minimising the amount of people entering MIUs. This means that we will not be letting anyone else in with the patient and only one parent/guardian per child (unless there is a clear and immediate need to be accompanied).

If patients are symptomatic of COVID-19 or self isolating because a family member is symptomatic then they will be seen in our dedicated isolation unit. This unit does not have a waiting area so patients will be asked to wait outside it or in their vehicle. Therefore for this reason, people should not just be dropped off outside of MIU.
