Celebrating our volunteers
Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers for the help and support they have given to staff, patients and visitors during a really difficult year.
Thank you to those who have volunteers over the past 12 months in roles such as gardening and manning the hospital entrances, and all those who have been unable to volunteer and are waiting patiently to return!
We have a brilliant team of Wiltshire wide volunteers. They give up their free time to help our patients, staff and visitors.
Volunteers help in some of the following ways:
- Supporting patients with practical tasks – assisting at mealtimes, serving refreshments and helping the staff with bedmaking tasks
- Listening to patient experiences and stories, providing support with activities
- Gardening at Chippenham or Warminster Community Hospitals.
- Assisting staff by helping with administrative tasks
Our volunteer’s experience is happy and productive. Volunteers tell us they want to make a difference, meet new people, learn new skills, or even try out a new career. Training is provided to help keep our volunteers safe and give them skills to feel confident supporting patients and staff.
