Building improvements benefiting patients and staff

The Rowan East corridor in Chippenham Community Hospital has been refurbished to accommodate nine clinic rooms, a group room, new offices and a meeting room. Specialist Services are now moving into this space and are already running a number of clinics such as Podiatry, Diabetes and the Orthopaedic Interface Service (OIS) from these rooms.

Enabling clinicians to be based in the same area will allow them to work together to deliver an even higher level of service as patients are being seen in a more pleasant and comfortable environment. The remaining clinics will move into the refurbished space during the autumn.

Signage around the hospital has been amended to direct patients towards the Rowan Clinic Rooms and a receptionist will soon be in place to meet and greet visitors and direct them to the right place.
