Our first Return to Practice nurse

Deborah Cummings is Wiltshire Health and Care’s first Return to Practice (RTP) nurse, and has secured a permanent nursing position with us.

Deborah (pictured right) had been out of practice for some time, but she has now completed her RTP course with us and is awaiting her PIN to re-register as a qualified nurse.

Deborah said: “I have enjoyed the whole process and have felt fully supported throughout; from the interview for RTP, to my learning at the University of the West of England and in my practicals with the Melksham Community Team. Thank you to all involved in the process.”

Gabrielle Tilley, Wiltshire Health and Care’s Education and Development Manager (left) said: “Deborah is our first RTP nurse and was fully funded through WHC by the Health Education England contract.”

Deborah has secured a permanent nursing position with the Melksham Community Team.

Well done Deborah, we’re very happy to have you on the team.
