• You can call the service on 01722 323196 or 01225 711323. If we are not available to take your call straightaway, please leave your name and contact details and we will call you back as soon as we can.
• You can email a query to whc.continencepatient@nhs.net and we will get back to you as soon as we can with a reply.
• You can make a self-referral by calling the above number where you will speak to a continence administrator who is trained to deal with your query, process your referral and sign post you to the most appropriate clinician or pelvic health physiotherapist for their clinical review.
• You can also email a self-referral to the above email address.

How do I find the clinic?

On the letter you will receive for your appointment there will be a postcode with the clinics location.

Go to Google Maps (link here) or on your web browser and then enter the postcode

As soon as we receive a referral you will be placed on our waiting list and be seen as soon as possible by either a nurse or physiotherapist depending on your condition or problem. Your first appointment with us could be either at the clinic, via telephone or video consultation. You can request a preference if you prefer. Your first appointment will last up to an hour and follow up appointments will last approx. 15 -30 mins.

We will try and offer you an appointment at a clinic as close to your home as possible. However, if you prefer to come to a different clinic location, please call us and request this.

We would really appreciate any patient feedback as it helps us to understand how people feel about the treatment that they have received from the Continence Service. Can I bring my children to the appointment?

We do not provide crèche facilities and are not able to take responsibility for accompanying children attending the premises.

Can I bring a relative in with me?

Yes, if you give permission for them to be present.

What if I don’t speak English well?

The nurse or physio can offer a phone-based interpreter service during your appointment. You can also have a relative, carer or friend present with you at the appointment. Please make it clear that you may need an interpreter before your appointment.

What if I’m having trouble getting to my appointment?

If you are unable to make an appointment, please contact the Continence Service as soon as you can to cancel and re arrange your appointment.

We are unable to provide transport to appointments. Wiltshire Link Schemes are community-based, volunteer run charities  who may be able to help you get to your appointment, further information can be found here.
