Praise for our caring staff at Warminster Community Hospital

Mr David Abbott from Melksham has made a donation of £600 to The Friends of Warminster Hospital, following the excellent care his late wife received whilst on Longleat Ward.

Mr Abbott explained: “This was in memory of the kindness and care, my dear wife of 58 years Jenny Abbott, received over the Christmas period on Longleat Ward, where the hospital staff lovingly cared for her. Jenny passed away in March and would have been 80 years old this June. Both myself and my daughter Linda wish to show our heartfelt thanks for the kindness and compassion shown to my Jenny and our family when we came to visit”.

Senior Sister and Longleat Ward Manager, Anne Marie-Nuth said: “Jenny was a delightful long term in-patient and loved her time with us over the Christmas period and we as a team enjoyed having Jenny and her husband David and daughter Linda on the ward.  It was a privilege to have looked after her. It is humbling to realise that this donation is a result of the care and compassion Jenny received from my team and the many sensory, therapeutic ward activities which she thoroughly enjoyed.”

Health Care Assistant Carolyn Kute added “Jenny was a very lovely, appreciative, kind lady.”

Thank you to Mr Abbott for his kind and generous donation.
