Generous donation from the Co-Op

Trowbridge Community Hospital has received a donation of £1,000 from Radstock Co-operative after being selected to benefit from the proceeds of their carrier bag charging levy.

Co-op Director Chris Warren presented the cheque to Simon Bailey, Clinical Lead for Trowbridge Community Team and colleagues Catherine Hendy Assistant Practitioner, Lorraine Cowdry Rehab Support Worker, Gary Gustar Senior Emergency Practitioner, Pat Haines Health Care Assistant, Jane Simpson Radiographer, Grace Thomas Community Staff Nurse and Jo Lindley Community Occupational Therapist.

Chris Warren said: “We’ve recently opened a new store in Castle Mead and we were keen to invest the proceeds of the carrier bag levy into health and well-being. I live in Trowbridge, so when making the selection, the community hospital was high up on my list, especially after receiving care there.”

Simon Bailey said: “We are grateful for this kind donation which will be split across the hospital site and benefit patients in Trowbridge.”

Thank you to Chris Warren and The Co-operative and our Trowbridge teams.
